Greetings to one and all!
2016 now draws to a close so I'd like to wish all readers a very Happy New Year!
It is actually currently 2017 in New Zealand where I'm putting up this blog post. I have not put up a post since November and for good reason too.
I had been busy driving on the roads for the past one and a half months of this amazing country and every day is a reason to give thanks for what one has. The sheer beauty of the majestic mountains and azure blue lakes is indeed a sight to behold. I had initially intended to put up some posts but decided to focus on the journey on hand, especially with two kids in tow (those with families will understand :).
After experiencing the magnificence of the South Island, we now lounge in Rotorua of the North. I reckon I may just start another blog focusing on these travels as I have learnt so much about everything...different accommodation booking platforms, currency exchange, an understanding of the cultures of different towns, my babies, my wife and of course, myself.
From the audio perspective, I still get my fair share of music from car audio and by Bluetooth pairing my trusty Sony Xperia XA. By the way, I just want to add that Google Maps is simply amazing. I never had to worry about getting lost in NZ. Just get a Spark SIM card, plug it in, set a car mount up and boom, you're good to go. But I digress. There are a load of local radio stations where some popular tunes on radio, well geared for NZ's Summer, are Sexual by Nieked and Don't Wanna Know by Maroon 5. Rotorua itself just played host its annual GLO Festival where they brought in local artistes to perform for New Year's Eve and we had a whale of a time.
That said, it is now late so I'll end by wishing you and your families a Happy New Year.
