Jays u-JAYS - First Look

Swedish company Jays hits 10 years of existence this year. Since their inception, they've built a decent reputation for their suite of stylish flat-cord in-ears called a-JAYS. 2016 saw them kicking things off with a spanking new pair of headphones called the u-JAYS. Let's take a first glance.
What's the Lowdown?
1. First On-Ears!
Actually no. The v-JAYS was their first offering in the on-ears category. Buuuut, the u-JAYS is their first attempt at the more premium headphone market, complete with playback controls. It certainly looks like a more robust and eye-catching product than what they made previously.
2. Android / iOS / Windows-specific
And for the playback controls, there are an increasing number of dedicated earphones and headphones for Android / iOS but what about Windows? Not many eh? Well, JAYS does cater to Windows phones. Kudos in this regard.
3. Balanced Sound in Comfort
Jays claims crystal clear detail and deep bass response from the audio delivery. It also helps that the ear comfort is aided with soft viscoelastic (quite a mouthful there) ear cushions that adapt to the shape of your ears. The headband is padded and lightweight, promising a fitting seal and fit. That said, a try out would definitely help in the assessment.
Price
At SGD 368 (USD 230), they aren't priced too low. For comparison, you'll get offerings like the Sennheiser Momentum On Ear M2 (SGD 319) or the slightly higher priced Master & Dynamic MH30 On Ear (SGD 549).

There are currently 4 colors available - Black on black / Black on gold / White on gold / White.
